1st XV v St Ignatius College, Enfield (Daily Mail Vase Round 3)

Result: Won 38 - 5
Tries: Latham, Wood, Malins M, Halfhide, Singleton, Kingham
Cons: Malins M

Review: I guess we start proceedings by acknowledging ALC or CSK had any idea that we were in the Vase after loosing in R2 of the Cup. It was a nice surprise to still have cup games, as they give a slightly different dimension to your season. The XV having played well just prior to half term played again with confidence and although St Ignatius battled hard, they struggled to break down the Felsted defensive line on the day. The game in heavy conditions, which looks like it will become a feature for the rest of the season, saw Felsted produce quick ball that didn’t always receive the execution it deserved. However, the XV crossed the line enough to make the contest safe from quite a way out.
