Review: It was important for the XV to
bounce back after a run of defeats and a run of injuries that had decimated the
side, especially against Colchester RGS. So, it was good news that Charlie
Kingham who had been out since the 2010 season was available to play, along
side a returning back line. Not all made it back, but the XV was unrecognisable
to the last fixture. William Malins scored two beautiful tries in the first
half, thanks to good hands and good set plays. His second was a try only
William could score, turning on the gas from half way out to cross in the
corner, having left a few opposition players for dead. The forwards started to
dominate proceedings after a slow start to the game and once the XV
got a lead, Bishop’s Stortford looked second best. They
rallied late on, but it was a gift in that the end that handed them there
points.
